| Comments | Both these sets have a similar
specification, and a similar chassis inthe same case, the
difference being the 606 is battery only, while the 606-MB
has an in built mains power unit as well as batteries (D
cells in the 606, and C cells in the 606-MB, the smaller
batteries making space for the transformer. There is one
slight case difference, the addition of a mains socket on
the 606-MB, which can (just) be seen below.
Both sets cover LW,MW and VHF, with reasonable sound qaulity, both having sockets for an external aerial, and headphones. |
